Job Description: Bridge Carpenter

We perform services for both public and private clients with jobs ranging from $200,000 to $100 million.

 

Southland Construction, Inc. is looking for craft workers with bridge carpentry experience.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

​

• Building wood and metal forms

• Erection and wrecking of all forms

• Setting and tying steel

• Pouring and finishing concrete

• Knowledge of use of hand/power tools

• Interpreting blueprints

• Comply with Southland’s Safety Policies and Procedures
   

Required Experience

​

• Previous experience in bridgework

• Must be able to climb, bend, stoop, kneel, lift overhead, and work from heights

• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

• Must be able to pass a drug screen

• Able to handle physically strenuous and demanding conditions

• Prepared to work in all types of weather conditions including extreme heat and cold

• Flexible work schedule
